 When
the Kitson & Partners management team traveled to northwestern
New Jersey to survey Bear Brook Golf Club they found the
kind of project K&P excels at recovering...a faltering
development of spectacular home sites, an extraordinary
mountain course layout and location, and a developer who
could no longer carry the load.
K&P
research indicated the golf course, with certain well-defined
renovations during the off-season, could become such a special
treat that it would be the destination of choice for local
players within a 50 mile radius. On top of that the community
could offer something that could not be found in the area...affordably
priced golf course homes with ten to twenty mile vistas
from each back deck.
 Kitson
& Partners assembled an investment team eager to participate
in this unique opportunity, purchased the community and
the golf course, installed K&P personnel in key areas
of management and development, and quickly "righted
the ship", putting it back on course to profitability.
Within days of the closing, home sites were being sold and
the golf course renovations were underway.
